New Year New You

I am so excited! I have been waiting for this program for quite a while, you know I’ve been doing the mini version “A little Obsessed” now it’s not a walk in the park, but it’s definitely a great way to be prepared for the one coming on Jan 15!  It’s going to be amazing. She(Autumn Calabrese) is going to be giving us detailed meal plans like we’ve never had before and more time sensitive. As well as the workouts which is a different workout everyday for 80 days. It zero’s in on the trouble areas, abs, butt, and arms. I don’t know about you but I certainly love to have more toned arms instead of chicken wings and my muffin top ( BYE BYE!)

Eeeeeekkk!!!!  Besides You know how I keep posting all of those 80 Day Obsession transformations of people who got to be IN the TEST group with Autumn Calabrese?!?! 😍😍🔥🔥

Well GUESS WHAT?! They have decided to do a SECOND test group WITH Autumn, and I get to be in it!! 😱🤗 But the BEST PART…I get to choose a few people to do it WITH me! 👯

So…what are you doing January 15-April 15? Do you want to join me on this 80 day journey?! I will only select people who commit to going ALL IN for this program. They are looking for people who WILL get results that they may use in future infomercials, promotional materials, etc!!! 🙌🏼

I want to break that chain and be the most healthy I can be, so I can be around with my Grandkids( I have none right now) or be there for my daughters wedding! Best of all just for me! To wake up and be energized and ready to conquer the day with excitement and feeling good! 

Scary Leap

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this short 4 years of my weightless journey is this I’m a visual person, I need to see my goals, motivation, my inspiration and I do that by One – my vision board which I have to help me stay focused with my “WHY” and so I don’t lose focus on what my goals are. Second is that I have a tattoo, that also gives me that inspiration that I need when I feel defeated or I want to give up. It says “Courage” underneath my  Uncle’s favourite character of all time Snoopy! If there is anyone who I know would be behind me reaching my goals and finding what I need to do with my life would have been my Uncle Harry. He has always supported me emotionally through anything No Matter What. So I know if he was alive today he would definitely be in my corner.

I also wear shirts that have a certain saying so if I’m ( Once again) feeling defeated or that I should quit I have those to let me know that I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to do! My Audio books as well help me expand and grow and have helped me so much already! The one book I am reading a second time had me do something today and the other day that I would have never done in a million years. But in the book ” Your A Badass, At Making Money” she talked about how in order to set goals and get yourself actually doing it instead of procrastinating, you need to go buy something that is something you would never buy before , something you’ve wanted but it’s out of your price range enough to scare you, maybe even terrify you  a little. Well that was me this week. I did two purchases that scared the crap out of me. Now your probably asking why? right? Well the first item I have wanted for a long time. And I had full intentions of buying it, but it was one of those items that wasn’t a NEED it was a want. It was the New Apple watch, series 3 with gps.  I had a series 1 and honestly there was nothing wrong with it, but the newest watch has a built in GPS which is awesome for my running. So I took the plunge and made the purchase.  Thinking I was done with my splurges, my sister in law mentioned these boots that she bought which aren’t cheap but they last a lifetime. and are so well built and comfortable. With working Nights at Walmart for now I have not had a descent boot that has not made my feet so sore by the end of the 8 hours. Not to mention the fact that I’m on my feet a lot. So when I bought a pair for my daughter for Christmas I really liked the look the feel and I couldn’t stop thinking about them. I kept looking at them online and then I found they had a pair of RED ones. I was knowing they were calling my name for sure.  So this morning I went out to buy a winter pair of Moccasins and there they were staring at me in the face.

I was letting my sub conscious talking me out of them, but then I remembered what my book said, that sometimes you need to do this to push me into not being lazy about my coaching and pushing forward, these would give me the drive I need. Now what’s funny is that there were all kinds of people buying this very boot, and the younger ones probably don’t have the same effect about buying them as myself. But I’ve NEVER spent that kind of money on myself EVER ! So to do this was giving my heart a race and my mind was thinking of every excuse known to man, a couple of times I actually almost put the boot back. But I knew I would regret it, later. As well I was getting sweaty, my breathing was going faster. But when It was my turn to go to the cashier I still had the boot in my hand. I knew it was something I wanted to do , correction “Had to do” I paid for them and I’m wearing them. I did hesitate when I was about to take off the tag but I did it. Now every time I look at them I know I can’t procrastinate I have to dig in lol and do the work, grow my business to justify this cost.

I will do anything I have to grow this business and make my life what I know it’s capable of. I have a passion and theres No stopping me! I know that working at Walmart is only Temporary and I have to focus on my big Goal, and I only have 18 months to do it, so this little purchase (which wasn’t little to me) will help me do that. Such pressure for a little boot lol. Do you have a special item you would love to have but are too afraid to purchase? I’d love to hear if I’m the only one that feels the way I did when I bought them.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all my friends and family that We ( Terry, Mom and Myself) have the absolute pleasure of having in our lives.  It has been an amazing Year, ups and downs but I want to say mostly ups thank goodness.. Mom’s health started off rough but she has improved considerably. She still has her days and I’m sure the Dementia will increase but she is as good as she will be. It was such a joy to be able to spend Christmas with my Family and Friends. I have such an amazing Husband and it was kind of funny to hear people ask where he was when I would go and visit, their first response was “Where’s Terry?” so when I told him he’s at home, they thought the worst, if anything it’s farther from the truth. We are stronger now than we have ever been!!  We just know that we are both needed at different places at the same time.  Mom gets to spend Christmas with Dad and I get to spend it with my girls and honestly I think he’s enjoying the break from Mom and I.

Besides Santa was very good to him, He got the Dvd set of Hogans Heroes, his cashews, Beef jerky and all the neighbours keep bringing him food. lol.  As for Mom and I we have been spoiled as well. The girls did an amazing gift for Gram and got her, her very own Tablet and the most Bling anyone would ever want!! She was so happy and ecstatic it was hilarious! So when I face timed Terry all she did was scream at how excited that she has her very own lol.  She has told me that the visit she’s having with Dad has been really good and they have actually been holding hands sometimes. So thats a positive for sure!

Last night was the Traditional Christmas Eve dinner and without fail my sister in law Diane did an amazing job. There were so many fixings, and it was so nice to see baby THEA and have a fun time. I finally got to spend time with my other amazing sister in law Colleen, I have missed her so much. It was so nice to just sit have a cup of tea and chat. It felt like old times, which is truly hard when I’m so far away. Luckily it won’t be much longer.

I couldn’t believe in the short few months when Terry and I were down how much baby Thea has grown, she already has two teeth! But she was so adorable even my Niece Courtney couldn’t keep her hand off her, playing with her. Thea was very surprised about Di’s dogs and cats some would say she was, Mesmerized lol. The dogs and Dave were awesome, even little ODIN was tuckered out by the time it was clean up after our amazing supper.

The Night was ending so I dropped Eryn home and went over to my Very best friend’s house Ian and Lee’s I have to say they are the best friends anyone could have. They have the biggest hearts and so amazing as well as their children. Gillian we have known since she was 2 and to see her now she is just incredible.  I had the privilege and the honour to hold the”Man of the hour” Baby Jude and what a perfect beautiful little man he is! I couldn’t  believe how incredible he is. Becca and Justin are amazing she is so calm and cool and Justin is just Beaming with pride! I finally got to see my dearest and closest friend Lee, it has been killing me that I couldn’t be here when she had her surgery but I was able to see her last night and it felt so good.  We hugged and talked, and hugged some more, we’re hoping we can get together again before I fly out.

That’s the bugger of it all, is how fast time flies. It goes way to fast in my eyes. But I am so honoured and happy and Blessed to be able to be with all the family and friends that I have.  I hope everyone of you have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!  and enjoy your time with your family and friends. I have a lot more to do before Mom and I head back so I’ll keep you all posted!!

A Little Obsessed

One of the best things to help me finish off the year strong is this program right here. I did a mistake and I started a program and got lazy. How can you do that? Well its very simple. I picked a program which you probably saw called “BODY BEAST” and I absolutely loved it. There was only one problem, I got lazy with my nutrition. I felt like I knew what I was doing and it wasn’t following the meal plan, in fact it was the opposite I wasn’t eating enough and then after supper I would be hungry and the cravings would kick in and voila, junk food city would open the door and let itself in. Sneaky buggers I say! I also tried to fool myself and believe that the scale was showing my actual weight gain. But I thought to myself, oh that’s because I’m lifting heavier weights and muscle weighs more than fat.  Yes it does, but that only works when your eating a proper meal plan and not junk food. lol. So the next step was that my clothes weren’t fitting right either. and that my friends is a dead give away.

I started feeling like a failure, because it was my own doing. My own mind making excuses and playing tricks by saying “It’s Ok, one treat won’t affect it” well one treat lead to many more. I knew I had to snap out of it, so thankfully this came around and it’s bigger brother” 80 Day Obsession”  is soon to follow.  It certainly couldn’t come at a better time. I was starting to go down a path I really didn’t like, but it’s one of those things that is very difficult to break out of once you start.

I have discovered one thing about myself. I definitely need routine and I need someone to tell me what it is I need to be doing as far as my meal plan and my fitness. Otherwise I end up ” squirrelling” it, which doesn’t not end up well.  This program has a meal plan and a very good one indeed, as well as a callender to show me what workouts for what day. The best part is that it’s a training or preparation for the Bigger brother in January. I know what I need to do, and this my friends will definitely be the Golden egg.  How fantastic is that. Not all is lost, yes I’ve fallen off the horse, but I have support and help to get back on that horse and win the race!! 

I will be doing my meal prepping, I won’t be going crazy while I’m at my daughters for Christmas, and best of all I will get back to my weight I need to be when I felt amazing and energized. Those containers saved me and I’m using them to their best potential. I’ve come this far I’m not giving up now! Besides isn’t it so much better to start the journey before everyone else decides on NEW YEARS EVE, they want to start and then you’ve already beaten it to the punch. Plus you’ll be that much more prepared come January when the big boy is in town, not sluggish and feeling out of breath or bloated. You’ll already be noticing a difference. So if you can take anything from my sharing this story is this; Everyone has times or days that don’t go according to plan, the biggest advice I can give is this: DON’T GIVE UP!!  if you fall down get back up, dust yourself off and go for it. If you haven’t started yet, “What are you waiting for?” Your time is now!  I waited my whole adult life and I’m so glad I decided enough is enough. New Chapter, New Journey, New Path. Which can be you!

Pumpkin Pie Energy Bites

I have a weakness for two things. One is Pumpkin pie and Two is desserts in general.  That’s probably the reason why I got to weigh so much, because of it! So I have learned a few tricks of the trade, when I crave those fabulous desserts I sometimes treat myself with a healthy alternative.  With Christmas around the corner I definitely am having a harder time avoiding those fabulous treats. One of it being Pumpkin Pie oh how I love Pumpkin Pie. Do you have a favourite kind of Pie or are you a Cake person. Isn’t it funny how people are either a pie or cake person. Almost like your either a Ford or Chevy person. I for one am a FORD person, I have always ever since I was a little girl fell in love with the Mustang ’67 Fastback to be exact.  But anyways we’re not talking cars( silly me) we’re talking desserts. Which is far more important don’t you think.

I found this recipe on my Beachbody website and boy are they absolutely scrumptious a perfect alternative to the old fashioned version. It’s healthy and the best part is that it helps take that craving away. It’s funny that our minds will make it so hard to turn away a good treat, in fact you almost get so focused on wanting that, that it’s all you think about right?  That’s the good part with these little guys is that you can have them and cure that craving and you also don’t have to feel bad or guilty for blowing your nutrition or meal plan.  So I encourage you to give these a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Pumpkin Pie Energy Bites

Prep Time 20 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Servings 8 servings, 2 energy bites each


  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • Warm water
  • ½ cup raw pecan halves (or pecan pieces)
  • cup canned pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes , reserve small amount for garnish
  • 1 tsp . pure hazelnut extract (or pure maple extract)
  • 1 tsp . pure maple syrup
  • 2 tsp . pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 pinch sea salt (or Himalayan salt)


  1. Place dates in a medium bowl; cover with water. Let soak for 10 minutes. Drain. Set aside.
  2. Place pecans in food processor; pulse until finely ground.
  3. Add dates, pumpkin, coconut, extract, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and salt; pulse until well mixed. Place in a medium bowl. Refrigerate, covered, for 30 minutes.
  4. Using clean hands, roll into tablespoon-sized balls; roll in reserved coconut (if desired).
  5. Store, refrigerated, in airtight container.

Chocolate Pancakes For Breakfast

One of my all time favourites when I need a little more than my shake, I always make these awesome pancakes! I’m a Star wars fan so the fact that I can make these pancakes in the BB8 form is even better!

I have learned that a lot of the flours that are healthier than the general all purpose flour can be quite pricey and hard to find, especially being near a small town and in the country. So I have learned how to make my own Oat flour which funny enough is quite easy. I buy one minute oats and put it in my Ninja blender(single serve) and whip it up into flour! Presto all done!!  So much cheaper, and super easy the same with almond flour only difference is that you have to soak the almonds first to soften a bit then whip them up , I haven’t tried that yet but it is definitely on my list for sure, I see so many awesome recipes with almond flour!

So back to these bad boys lol. I always use my chocolate shakeology which is a great source of nutrients and helps curb my cravings, in fact I usually can’t finish both pancakes. I also use my purple container for my fruit which I usually add my strawberries, blueberries or raspberries whichever I have in the fridge. With my meal plan this is a great fruit addition, I still have and extra 2 containers to use up after this meal. I love how easy it is to keep track with the containers. So enjoy these Pancakes and trust me it’ll keep you full for a very long time!


  • 1/3 cup of Oat Flour
  • 1/2 cup of Egg Whites
  • 1 scoop of Shakeology( chocolate, vanilla or strawberry)
  • 1 tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/4 cup of almond milk or water( just until its easy to pour)




Mix all the ingredients above into bowl, and stir it to get all the lumps and  is easy to pour. Spray pan with cooking spray( coconut/ olive oil), then pour the pancake mix into pan( pancake maker.) This amount makes 2 pancakes.  When you see the bubbles on top of pancake form then flip over. They will rise and smell so good.  Once they’re done feel free to add fruit( banana, strawberry, blueberry etc.)  Enjoy!!
