One of my go to snacks have been my PB Chocolate Shakeology Balls. I love them especially because they help curb my sweet tooth when I have a desperate need for chocolate. Which is why I’ve been able to stick with my losing weight and my weight loss journey. They especially help me when I’m working nightshift and that 3 am snack attack hits me. The other thing that’s great about this recipe is that it’s No Bake! SO you can even get your kids to help make them if you don’t mind the sticky fingers !!
Well, my daughter wanted to try a new recipe and so we tried this recipe which used Vanilla Shakeology instead of my usual Chocolate. I think that’s one of the reasons why I love Shakeology so much is that it’s so versatile. You can bake with it, as well as just our usual smoothies. In fact, I’m eating my famous chocolate Shakeology Pancakes right now as I’m typing this out.
These little guys are so tasty that I’m even thinking that they would be great at Christmas time for those unexpected guests. Did I just say Christmas and it’s only August? Ha ha well, I guess you can never be too prepared. So if you have a sweet tooth like me and your trying to stay on the healthy journey, or don’t want to ruin all your hard work of eating right and exercising over a lousy wasted calorie chocolate bar these little guys are definitely the way to go. Give them a try and I guarantee you’ll love them, just like I do.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bites
- 1 scoop of Vanilla Shakeology
- 1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup of Honey
- 2 Tbsp. Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 tbs. crushed or finely chopped almonds/ peanuts
- 1 tbs. ground flax or chia seeds
Once you put all the ingredients in the bowl, this is where the fun begins! You can get your kids to stir them all together. They will be sticky, so I have found after you mix the ingredients I put the bowl in the fridge to cool / slightly harden. It’s much easier to roll then, and not as sticky. Roll them into 1 inch balls, and if you’d like to make them a little prettier you have the option of either rolling them in flaked coconut or quick oats as I have. These balls can be made in advance and can be frozen, or in the fridge. I find as a trick so I don’t eat all of them at one sitting is that I freeze them and only take out maybe 3 or 4 by then my sweet tooth craving has subsided. It’s also a great dessert treat if your family are eating cake, cookies etc. You can just pop these guys in your mouth and you won’t feel like you’re being deprived either. Enjoy your snack, and let me know what you think ?! If you have any questions you can easily send me a message, I’ll gladly answer you !! Happy Snacking !!
