If there is one thing I have learned since I started Beachbody is that to never underestimate a New Program. This program has proven to me that I am far from exceeding my limits. My Legs, glutes and quads were on fire after this workout. Which was much needed after that two-week vacation. It felt good to get back into it Hard Core and to push myself, not make excuses. Do the best I can. which I did.
Between, the sumo squats to half squats with a Heavy Plus weight (mine was 25 lbs) or the front lunges and Bulgarian split squat. I couldn’t remember which one gave me the hardest time. I’m very proud of myself for stepping up my weight to 25lbs. on the big moves or exercises. I didn’t give up or give in. I stuck it through, it was tough by no means. The last quarter of the workout was the toughest, he had me using my Heavy Plus through the most of it. What I find astounding is that what I have discovered about myself and my capabilities. I never ever thought that I could lift anything more than 5 or 10lbs. at the most. But now I am lifting 20 & 25. The best part is that I’m loving it the whole time, this isn’t a punishment by no means. It’s my stress reliever, my energy lifter, my progress monitor. Boy, I was huffing and puffing, no doubt about that, and sweat? It was buckets. lol. But I’ve already seen progress, and I know it’s only improved or increase in time. That’s what I love the most. If you’re looking for something a little more challenging or different this program is definitely for you.
When I get up from my sleep, from my night shift, I will be working on my core which I know for a fact I am in desperate need of. Heck, I even had to buy new gloves because mine wore out. Today when I wake up from my night shift, I will definitely be having something to eat and rejuvenate my muscles etc. I can’t wait to see how much progress I will have when this round is all over.
